Aphasia and speech rehabilitation – neurocognitive and functional approaches

On May 1–3 of this year, a three-day training course entitled “Aphasia and Language Recovery: Neurocognitive and Functional Approaches” will take place, initiated by the Armenian Association of Speech Therapists.

In collaboration with the European professional community and as a member of ESLA, the Association is honored to host one of Europe’s leading experts in post-stroke and traumatic brain injury language rehabilitation — Professor Paola Marangolo, author of more than 100 scientific publications.

The course will be conducted on-site in a scientific and practice-oriented format and has been submitted to the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Armenia for accreditation.

The target audience includes speech therapists, psychologists, neurologists, and rehabilitation specialists.

Participation is fee-based.

Background to the organization of the course

Before organizing the course, multiple surveys were conducted among speech therapists about what topics they would like to hear about in the courses.

Aphasia was in the top five answers.

Post-traumatic and post-stroke rehabilitation is a direction that needs to be further improved and strengthened. Therefore, it was decided to conduct the first international training course on this topic.

There was no dilemma in choosing a specialist.
